Anti Wrinkle Treatment – 30 mins £275
Over time, as we age, overactive muscle movement gradually wears away the collagen in the skin, causing the skin to crease and wrinkles to appear. BOTOX ® relaxes these muscles, preventing the formation of wrinkles and smoothing out lines. BOTOX ® works only on the specific muscles injected, leaving surrounding muscles to function as usual, enabling normal facial expression, just with less wrinkles. Much has been in the media lately about the safe administration of BOTOX ® and with that in mind we have ensured we are consistent with guidelines from the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency. Their position is that administration by nurses or beauty therapists may, in certain circumstances, not comply with the law, for the reasons set out below
Under medicines legislation, parenteral medicines may be:
Self administered
Administered by a doctor, a dentist or, subject to certain limitations, a nurse or pharmacist independent prescriber or supplementary prescriber
Administered by anyone in accordance with the directions of a doctor, a dentist or, subject to certain limitations, a nurse or pharmacist independent prescriber or supplementary prescriber. These directions must be specific to the patient.
At Equilibrium Health BOTOX ® is only administered by a fully qualified Dental Surgeon in accordance with the above guidelines.
Teeth Whitening – 30 mins £275
Teeth whitening can be a highly effective way of lightening the natural colour of your teeth without removing any of the tooth surface. It cannot make a complete colour change; but it will lighten the existing shade. Professional bleaching is the most common form of tooth whitening. Our dentist will be able to tell you if you are suitable for the treatment, and will supervise it if you are. Using specially made tray which fits into your mouth like a gum-shield and a whitening product you can then use your kit at home to achieve a great smile.
Deep Tissue Massage – 30 mins £20 - 60 mins £40
With the ever growing number of people taking part in sport the demand for sports massage is also increasing and becoming more and more recognised as a skill which may aid recovery and enhance performance. Massage, applied skilfully, is the most effective therapy for releasing muscle tension and restoring balance to the musculo-skeletal system. Received regularly this may help athletes prevent injuries, which might otherwise be caused by overuse. The skilled massage therapist will be able to detect variations in the soft tissues and by using the correct techniques, help the sports person maintain a much healthier physical state. However you don’t need to be an athlete to benefit.
